  1. – The Devils just lost Travis Zajac for up to 6 months following surgery…so right off the bat they take a huge hit up front. I don't think things will get much better for the Devils this season. But give 'em maybe a couple more seasons & then you might see the Devils get closer to being a playoff contender.

  2. Last year was hopefully just a fluke. Almost every forward had a down year and then add in Schneider having a career-low and it's obvious why we had the worst season in thirty years.

However even with Zajac down for a bit, we have an incredibly exciting forward group that could really exceed expectation. Add in a more experienced Severson and Santini and the dark horse that is Mueller and we could have a team reminiscient to 2015-2016 where we surprised everyone. Just depends on Schneider's ability to bail out the defense again and how quickly our youth develop.

  3. I love this team but it sucks that they always have something go bad for them every year. They are getting better tho, with Hiscier, Johanssen, and Boyle that brings them a lot more production but yeah the goaltending with Schneider is a concern this coming season and hopefully he gets better this season with a new goalie coach. The defense also needs to get better tho as they are pretty average they could possibly fight for a wild card spot but as much i wish that, the reality is I just don't see it this year or next year. I love this team and what they are doing but they are going to have to at least get a winning season under their belt at this point.
